Emergency and preparedness response training

As of fall 2005, MSU requires all study abroad program leaders participate in a one-hour emergency preparedness and response training seminar. Participation will be recorded.

Seminar presentations are made by members of the OSA Health and Safety Team and cover preparation prior to departure, resources available, and actions to take while abroad when responding to emergencies. Seminars are offered three to eight weeks prior to departure and occur at various days and times to accommodate teaching schedules.

Attendance at a seminar may need to be repeated due to policy or procedural changes over time. Program leaders will be notified if they need to attend an additional seminar.
