All MSU-sponsored international academic internships offer credit and usually provide no salary. Academic arrangements must be made through your MSU college. Check the Career Services Network - College Centers Web page for a listing of your current college internship coordinator. He or she can assist you with the specifics of developing an international academic internship.

Note: Please read the following descriptions carefully, as not all students are eligible for all internships.

Beginning in 2009, the United Kingdom is implementing new restrictions for students participating in internship programs.  As a result, students will no longer be able to participate in full-time internships in the United Kingdom.  Students will have to demonstrate that they have a sponsor that is licensed by the UK Border Agency, they are full time students, and that at least half of the credits they earn will be composed of coursework taught in the UK (internet courses do not count).  Whether  or not the internship is paid or unpaid is irrelevant.  All internships must meet these criteria in order for students to obtain the required entry visa for the UK.  For more information, please contact Beth Laux at 517-432-2686.
