Tales from Abroad

Winter Break 2000-01
Study Abroad in Mexico"When I first learned about study abroad at MSU I knew that was the way for me to make the most of my college career. I chose to participate in the Merida, Mexico program over winter break. If you really do want to learn, instead of just memorizing facts and trying to pass a test, studying abroad is bar none. Being immersed in what you are learning will not only enhance your knowledge, it will also enhance you as a person. It may be interesting to learn about an ancient Mayan civilization; however, it is a mind-altering experience to visit the pyramids and sites that they once
inhabited. All students should take advantage of at least one study abroad
program. Good luck to all future study abroad participants; I hope
studying abroad treats you well."
