Tales from Abroad

Fall 2005
Rebecca Kapler participating in Freshman Seminar in Ireland

"Being able to have the study abroad experience before I had even lived on campus was great because I met so many great friends. Freshman seminars are something I would recommend for everyone. Ireland was the most amazing experience of my life so far. The sights of cathedrals and old historical buildings around you are something that you don't see at home. Also, sharing the experience with MSU students that I had not even met before I left was awesome because now we have become very good friends. Seeing the mountains in Ireland and going to Northern Ireland to see a completely different place has changed my life. Being my first time out of the country, it has opened my eyes and made me anxious to get out of the country and go study abroad again."
